In a Class I Controlled Environment which includes the following dress/gowning requirements: safety glasses, safety shoes, ear plugs, jumpsuit, hood, hairnet, beard cover, gloves, isolation mask and boots (additional PPE required when cleaning)

What You'll Be Doing
The Production Technician II is a Salaried Non-Exempt position which contributes to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by providing operational and maintenance related support to an assigned manufacturing area.
- Operate, monitor, maintain and make adjustments as necessary to machinery in their assigned manufacturing area.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance activities and predictive diagnostics such as adjustments, replacement of machine parts, cleaning and lubrication while supporting Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Document required information on manufacturing logs and/or POMS system and Maximo.
- Investigate, identify and correct any inefficiency in machine performance; diagnose mechanical wear, alignment, adjustment, and setup issues.
- Develop standard work for troubleshooting and setups/changeovers.
- Identify process improvements on existing process and equipment.
- Work with Maintenance team to analyze machine failures for root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in annual inspections.
- May participate in Continuous Improvement, Project and Safety Teams, Lean Initiatives, Value Stream led activities and defect prevention programs.
- Communicate with outgoing shift personnel to obtain information regarding any problems with machines, materials, etc. encountered during the previous shift and review point of use tool inventory.
- Read blueprints and use tools to measure the product, ensuring the output meets specifications, making adjustments/repairs as needed.
- Support project work to improve and modify assigned production equipment; assist in the installation of new manufacturing equipment.
- Assist and support establishment of machine parameters, performing validations and protocols.
- Train new associates on responsible processes.
- Ensure the proper use, care, and storage of tools and equipment.
- Factory acceptance testing – work with Engineering and Quality to accept new equipment which could include overnight travel for factory acceptance and training.
- Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Notify the Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, discrepancy or major mechanical issues occur.
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles including maintaining and securing provided tools.
What You'll Bring
- High School Diploma or GED and must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic English, written and oral, communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members.
- Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions, read and comprehend written work instructions – including words and drawings.
- Possess or able to obtain PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) Operator Certification.
- CRC (Career Readiness Certification) at the Silver Level.
- Basic computer and mathematics skills.
- Basic knowledge of electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Proficient in how to use a calculator and measurement tools as well as basic hand tools.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to push/pull and lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand/walk continuously throughout the shift.
- Normal visual acuity required.
- Ability to squat, climb, reach above shoulder level, reach at or below shoulder level, twist and bend at the neck, twist and bend at the waist and balance.
