Job Summary
Responsible for the supervision of distribution operations in the designated market unit distribution center which may include inventory control, controlled substances, inbound and/or outbound operations ensuring company goals and objectives are achieved and the facility is operating efficiently.
Responsibilities
Oversees one or more of the following distribution center functions: inventory control, inbound functions of finished product from manufacturing sites and contract manufacturers, controlled substance operations or outbound processes including order processing, order picking, packaging, shipping and receiving.
Prioritizes daily workload based on customer urgency, established customer schedules, order processing goals, and available staff/time.
Ensure all operational standards are followed and time-sensitive products are handled according to the established procedures. Make sure all activities are properly documented in SAP for prompt invoicing.
Responsible to maintain scorecard metrics and KPIs for productivity, efficiency, safety, and quality for defined area of responsibility. Utilize data-based analysis to identify opportunities for improved operating performance.
Communicates and partners with internal business partners including but not limited to Customer Support, Quality Control, Compliance and Marketing to manage the customer order and material flow through the facility.
Ensures adherence to all regulatory requirements regarding scheduled drugs, hazardous material, dating merchandise, storage requirements and reporting agencies (DOL, DEA, FDA, OSHA etc.).
Monitors facility and operations for compliance with all company and governmental rules and regulations.
Responsible for continuous evaluation of warehouse processes. Identifies and provides recommendations to leadership for process improvements.
Effectively trains, coaches, and leads assigned team to achieve performance, quality, cost, and service goals. Ensures their ability to safety operate material handling equipment to move materials to and from storage locations.
Monitor and track performance metrics for direct reports. Deliver coaching, retraining and disciplinary actions as necessary.
Mentors and monitors the development of direct reports to ensure they have the skills and abilities necessary to achieve success in their current role and career advancement if desired.
Performs all other tasks as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of a 2-year college degree or equivalent experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3 years’ leadership experience in a distribution or warehouse environment is strongly preferred.
SAP knowledge is desired
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with spreadsheet applications (Excel) skills
Strong communication skills abilities with effective problem-solving ability
Demonstrated use of sound judgment, excellent organizational skills, and detail orientation
A thorough understanding of Order Fulfillment DC Operations to include Receiving, Inventory Control, Picking, Packing, and Shipping in an RF environment.
Strong analytical skills and an understanding of internal controls
A sense of accountability in self and others
Computer literate to quickly learn systems and processes.
Able to demonstrate proficient working knowledge of Good Warehouse procedures and practices and familiarity with database systems.
Experience or background in regulatory and cGMP compliance is desired
