The Sr. Project Manager will lead high-impact projects across the Specialty Products and Programs (SPP) team and be an expert resource for the broader team on project management tools, analysis, and best practices for projects owned by others. These projects have a broad scope and are often technical in nature requiring close collaboration with McKesson Technology (MT), Business Intelligence, and Specialty Customer Programs teams.
The Sr. Project Manager will also support the Director, Multisource Programs and Operations in new drug launches: from collecting and digesting manufacturer pipeline intel to new material setups and post-launch tracking. S/he will also manage the strategy and execution of priority 2 and 3 products.
This person will have an innovation and automation focus. S/he is comfortable asking questions and challenging the status quo with an emphasis on learning and improving with a fail-fast mentality. S/he will also be able to use data to tell compelling stories in support of her/his hypotheses and comfortably map out processes and SOPs.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Manage projects across the SPP team including Provider Solutions and Full Line Wholesale Passport Injectables program.
- Represent and advocate for SPP team interests in broader projects including ERP modernization and new Distribution Center (DC) setups.
New Product Launches
- Receive drug manufacturer pipeline intel for new-to-market generics and biosimilars from Business Development Directors, IPD Analytics, and others; uncover insights and consolidate the relevant information to the launch database
- Manage material setup process for new and complex drug launches
- Coordinate with manufacturers and customer support teams on high value generic drug products to ensure POs are properly received, shipped, and invoiced
- Shape and drive the strategy for priority 2 and priority 3 generic drug launches.
Expert Resource
- Bring project management tools and expertise to the team and be a resource to colleagues in their project and program management.
- Use expert judgment and creative problem solving to identify pain points and opportunities in existing programs and processes with limited oversight.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses to uncover the root cause of issues across multisource team products, programs, and processes.
Provide backup support for the Fair Share Exception queue during analyst PTO and at times of high volume –
This will occasionally require working the mid-shift to 7:30pm CST
Maintain product-specific channel controls across Provider Solutions and Full-line Wholesale.

Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.
Education:
4-year degree, preferably in sales and marketing, business management, or healthcare related field or equivalent experience
Critical Skills
- 7+ yrs. experience, preferably in project or program management.
- 5+yrs experience performing operational analysis.
- 5+yrs experience organizing and analyzing data.
Additional Skills
- Understanding of pharmaceutical supply chain, purchasing and/or distribution concepts.
- Experience with SAP, Salesforce.com, Tableau and/or Power BI
- Ability to coordinate activities across a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extensive project management experience.
- Six Sigma or PMP certifications a plus.

Salary: 95,100.00 - 126,800.00 - 158,500.00 USD Annual (Target 115K with 15% MIP)
