Job Description
Job Summary:
The Team Member - Calibration responsible for performing calibration and maintenance activities on a variety of instruments used in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing process and its associated equipment, utility and facilities. This role ensures that all equipment operates within specified parameters and complies with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Calibration: Conduct routine and non-routine calibration of instruments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of calibration activities, including calibration certificates and reports.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to equipment performance and calibration discrepancies.
- Preventive Maintenance: Assist in the development and execution of preventive maintenance schedules for all critical equipment.
- Compliance: Ensure all calibration activities comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Quality Assurance and Production, to ensure seamless operations and compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance calibration processes and equipment reliability.
- Training: Provide training and support to junior team members and other staff on calibration procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in calibration activities within a biopharmaceutical or similar regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of calibration principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using calibration software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Familiarity with ISO standards related to calibration and experience with regulatory audits and inspections.
- Willingness to work in cleanroom environments and adhere to strict hygiene protocols.
