The US Director of Finance - Sales will lead and manage the overall sales/revenue forecasting & analysis functions for the US Commercial Biopharma Division. This individual will be responsible for managing $3+B in annual revenue and all sales related forecasting/budgeting, monthly reporting/analysis, price modeling, and various ad hoc requests and projects related to the US commercial business.
Key responsibilities include leading and providing support for the business’ sales plans, forecasts, long-term plan, and management reports. Work closely with US teams to assess key sales upsides and downsides from the day-to-day commercial activities. Plans, organizes, directs, monitors, and evaluates all factors that can directly or indirectly impact the margin of US business. Provides direction and training to the staff to ensure compliance of accounting policies and procedures, internal controls and audit requests.
This individual must build strong relationships with multiple functional areas and be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with senior management. This position reports directly to the Senior Director, US Commercial Finance/Controlling
Primary Responsibilities For Role
- Consolidate, analyze and report monthly US sales & any sales related KPIs, highlighting current variances and potential risks/opportunities.
- Establish and implement work plans/ timeline for budget and forecast development consistent with Corporate and US planning calendars or individual project management expectations.
- Manage monthly sales forecasts process & all Budget/Forecast scenarios planning, including but not limited to product price models, forecast change trackers, etc.
- Prepare/Review variance reports - highlighting key drivers, actuals compared to budget and to forecast updates (sales, pricing & volume).
- Prepare/Review monthly sales reports and analyses to the global FP&A team and US leadership team
- Assist internal, external and Tax Auditors with review and compliance requests, and perform monthly or quarterly controls related to sales
- Manage/monitor sales posting and ensure all postings are in compliance of IFRS and internal control standard
- Work cross-functionally with various teams to ensure accuracy of the sales reporting, timely communicate any material impact to the business to the senior management
- Provide support for special projects and ad hoc requests.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite required.
- Strong knowledge of Excel including pivot table and functions (vlookup, sumif, etc.).
- Experience with SAP is desired.
- Experience in financial analysis and accounting is preferred.
- Expertise in financial processes and executive reporting/ presentation skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and apply superior analytical, interpersonal and communication skills to consistently produce excellent work and add value to the organization.
Education
- Requires a B.S. or a B.B.A. degree with a major in Accounting or Finance
Experience
- 8-10 years experience in an Accounting or Finance related position, managerial experience is a plus
Directly related experience or a combination of directly related education and experience and/or competencies may be considered in place of the stated requirements.
