Our vision for the Strategic Sales, VP - Mini Draw
This key role, reporting to the Business President, is critical to drive strategy and execution for new products and services within the Specimen Management portfolio. This role will drive early assessment and global commercialization efforts and go-to-market strategy for new products, services and partnerships with particular focus in US and EMEA markets.
Responsibilities
- Understand, monitor and share key trends in the IVD space across the globe with particular focus in US and EMEA
- Screen and evaluate potential business development opportunities and collaborations from a go-to-market perspective to drive incremental short-term and long-term revenue acceleration for Specimen Management business
- Responsible to create, grow and manage new product sales project funnel to drive successful product commercialization
- Accountable to identify, develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders, C-suite customers, instrument companies, professional associations, and advisory boards to deliver against strategies
- Supports KOL development and C-Suite relationship advancement focused on innovation
- Develops segmentation strategy to drive customer account acquisition over ASR period
- Sets clear metrics, dashboard and governance model for review and alignment with BU President, Platform leaders, US and International commercial leadership teams
- Works directly with Public Affairs and Health Economics teams on market access and reimbursement strategies to enable commercial execution
- Accountable to drive revenue and profit delivery to meet business case commitments
- Together with global Medical Affairs and R&D teams facilitate activities leading to the development of customer requirements, product requirements and workflow implications
- Drive internal resources to support complex customer project implementations
- Aligns with multiple sales teams across matrixed organization (Strategic Customer Group, Channel Team, National Accounts and GPO teams) to maximize impact of new products and services
- Provides feedback and direction to cross functional team on product reception and performance in an agile and timely manner
Education
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):
Experience
- 10+ years of strategic selling experience with proven track record
- Previous experience diagnostics with domain expertise in clinical chemistry and automation is required
- Experience with roll out of complex clinical implementation in lab environment
- Strong communicator with ability to take complex information and simplify for teams
- Demonstrated ability to forge strong customer relationships with VP level or above
Special Skills
- Experience and presence & drive for results – self-starter, proactively drives change
- Deep understanding of US market with deep knowledge of IDN networks
- Strong strategic sales and execution skills necessary
- Ability to manage through matrix organizations and lead cross functional teams
- Strong understanding of sales process and experience in sales funnel development and management
- Solid commercial project management skills
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity
- Experience with global teams, in matrix organization
- Strong interpersonal effectiveness – great at influencing others and convincing/motivating them
- Ability to travel (up to 50%)
