Job Summary
Self‐directed with good leadership skills and the ability to assist the Materials Supervisor in the daily scheduling, operation, and evaluation of Materials Team Members. Performs functions related to component order entry, material tracking, production, and inventory control. Ensures correct delivery of materials and components interdepartmental. Assists the Materials Supervisor with training, coaching and overall shift activity.Assists as needed in the Supervisor’s absence.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Assist and directs the activities and resources of assigned shift Materials Team including work assignments, break scheduling and relief.
- Establishes team objectives and measurements for warehouse, calculates and compares results with daily reporting and holds the team accountable.
- Coordinates with the Production Leads and Shift Supervisor on production matters as needed to meet work objectives.
- Assist with coordination of training and coaching for Materials Team members.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and safe work environment. Identify and resolve potential safety hazards.
- Provides a “Customer Service” attitude when interacting with internal and external customers while accomplishing work and achieving quality standards.
- Coordinates and expedites the flow of work and material for the production process.
- Utilizes customer orders, work orders, production specifications and production work sheets ensuring the proper distribution to the appropriate personnel and departments.
- Assists with the process of scheduling, developing routings, and delivering parts to ensure production schedules and shipments are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assists with inventory and warehousing activities as needed.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment.

Basic Qualifications
- Education: High School or Equivalent
- Experience: Less than 3 years
- Minimum six months prior materials experience. Experience with cGMP purchasing practices, ISO, and medical device manufacturing preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Experience: Minimum two years in manufacturing. Preferably in plastics injection molding as a competent operator/inspector/materials team member.

- Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.

Travel Requirements
Physical And Mental Requirements
- Must be able to work assigned shift(s) with overtime as required to complete assignments if necessary.
- Sitting and/or standing for extended periods may occur as well as getting to and from various locations within facility.
- If specifically necessitated by customer requirements, must be able to see with or without corrective lenses and distinguish color differences for product and safety issues.
- Hearing ability should be sufficient to hear and react to audible alarms from distances up to 150 feet.
- The ability to be able to lift and carry assorted items up to 50 pounds.
- Limited, if any, travel requirements. May travel to Third Party logistics location to assist with inventory or other related activities.
