The Business Optimization Associate is responsible for managing the relationship of Intrafusion clients, ensuring operational excellence of the infusion suite within a given territory. The BOA will be the primary client contact in supporting the ongoing maintenance of the client and providing solutions that proactively meet client requirements for their designated account list. They will also be responsible for relationship management, retaining customers, identifying gaps in service, identifying needs, and growing their business in a designated territory. In addition to the account management duties, this role will be supporting many day-to-day tactile tasks that must take place to provide an excellent customer experience across multiple accounts. This is a hybrid, supportive role to Business Optimization Managers, so coordination with the outside sales rep will be critical.
Key Responsibilities
Account/Client Management
- Meet and exceed revenue goals for a multi-state territory with different medical specialties
- Plan and prioritize activities to identify and create performance opportunities for existing customers
- Works with decision makers to support the growth of our infusion clients
- Upsell value added solutions being offered through McKesson, Intrafusion, or any outside entity we have partnered with
Customer Support
- Handle day-to-day administrative customer needs, ensure customer issues are resolved both promptly and thoroughly, and ensure customer maximizes existing products and services
- Partner with the Business Optimization Manager to grow and retain business while providing continuous feedback on customer activity and build strategy/plan for each customer
- Develop a knowledge base of the marketplace, environment, physician practice dynamics and concerns
- Participation in training and educational key learning initiatives
Minimum Requirement
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
- 2 + years relevant experience preferred, ideally in healthcare account management or sales
- Demonstrated understanding and experience in the buy and bill model
- Demonstrated understanding of Revenue Cycle Management and clinical operations
Additional Skills
- Adaptive and solution-based sales approach to working with customers/sales teams
- Consultative selling experience to the specialty physician market highly preferred.
- Strong and persuasive communication skills, ability to influence and drive customer behavior to and predetermined objective.
- Experience in and demonstrated understanding of healthcare and distribution, GPO, industry trends, EHRs, inventory management technologies, billing and coding, private and public reimbursement models and payer contracting highly desired
- Strong consultation and communication skills; able to sell McKesson value prop and collaborate well with a diverse range of people at customer locations; tactful, professional, and flexible
- Able to thrive in a dynamic environment and navigate organizational complexity and change
- Professional, engaging and confident demeanor
- Detail oriented with good problem-solving skills
- Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment
- Ability to work autonomously
- Understand technology and customer ordering systems.
- High level of computer proficiency using MS Office applications

Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:
$65,600 - $109,400
Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
