Description:
The set-up mechanic is responsible for setup of manufacturing and packaging line equipment as well as ensuring all equipment are functioning properly.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for the changeover of packaging line after the product change over and continuation of the packaging run
- Provide emergency or unscheduled repairs on plant, production and packaging equipment
- Setup of expiration date and lot number for labeling machine and carton coding machine as per the batch record
- Maintain Lockout & Tagout system
- Complete proper documentation as per SOP's
- Organize the setup tools in designated room
- Assist other maintenance staff in completing special projects or maintenance work as needed

Qualifications
Education:
- High School or GED - Required
Experience:
- 2 years or more in Manufacturing, pharmaceutical, maintenance repair
Skills:
- Attention to detail. - Intermediate
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English at a level to facilitate the understanding terminology of the job. - Intermediate
- Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal procedures or instructions - Intermediate
- Reading comprehension - Intermediate
- Good troubleshooting - Intermediate
- Able to use/operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, testers, and material handling equipment to perform job efficiently. - Intermediate
