Brief Job Overview
The Microbiology Marketing Manager is a full-time, hybrid role that will focus on elevating overall awareness of innovative microbiology products that drive new levels of efficiency, control and standardization across global microbiology testing. These products are used in quality control and research & development applications in the pharmaceutical, medical device, food & beverage, clinical, and other industries. In collaboration with product management and scientific leads, this person will lead the development of the microbiology digital and social media plan to support market awareness, lead generation and thought leadership. They will also identify suitable conferences and help build events that engage microbiology stakeholders. The manager will need to understand market trends in the microbiology testing space and tactics used by key competitors in order to build a compelling campaign.

The Microbiology Marketing Manager will need to demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with the customer development and sales teams and internal support functions (global communications, stakeholder engagement, market intelligence, legal, finance and accounting, etc.) to ensure maximum impact. This role will help shape the portfolio of microbiology products by taking into consideration customer needs, ensuring the sustainability of the program, identifying correlations to the work and public health impact.
The Microbiology Marketing Manager Has The Following Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with science and product management colleagues and leadership to create, develop, and refine microbiology-related marketing campaigns and associated collateral.
- Leads tactical plan development and deployment, digital and social media messaging, conference strategy, selection of 3rd party media partners, new and novel outreach opportunities.
- Devises metrics/KPIs to gauge success of new programs not only in terms of revenue, but in terms of campaign metrics (CTR’s, impressions, etc.) and actively reporting on them to inform future campaign tactics.
- Understands lead nurturing software and processes.
- Manage and coordinate marketing related projects.
- Manage the creation and implementation of campaigns and collateral that highlight positioning and differentiation, and drive brand awareness.
- Assist with business development and lead generation and nurturing from a marketing perspective.
- Manages by influence and collaboration in a matrix environment.
- Ability to train sales, customer and distributor staff on campaigns and tactics to drive revenue and adoption.
- Ability to attend conferences and meet with customers to understand pain points, best media channels to build product awareness with those customers and contribute to thought leadership planning.

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, life sciences, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of related work experience with a minimum of 2 years in product marketing or digital marketing.
- Marketing experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Life Science Tools or Healthcare industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels in the organization.
- A track record of success in marketing commensurate with experience level.

Compensation
Base Salary Range: USD $97,000.00 - $124,750.00 annually.
Target Annual Bonus: 13% Varies based on level of role
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate’s skill set, experience, qualifications, equity, and other job-related reasons.
