Shift : Night - 7PM to 7AM, 7days on 7 days off. The week starts Wednesday night and ends the following Tuesday night.

The role you’ll contribute:
The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor may have direct reports as well as has primary responsibility for the pharmacy automation systems, technician scheduling, technician PDO/sick coverage and technician assignments. Other facility specific assignments may include patient billing and inventory management activities. If applicable for the facility, information that may be accessed include, but not limited to; pharmacy charge data, CDM databases, wholesaler, purchase files, automated dispensing systems, pharmaceutical contracts, data files, and personnel and compensation data.

Oversees appropriate utilization of medication automation, technology, and computer systems

• Prepares accurate medication products for delivery
• Prevents improper drug, dose, dosage form selection, expiration dating, and barcode scanning issues when preparing products for final check
• Performs oral and injectable product compounding if applicable
Supervises technician and intern practice

Pharmacy Practice
Supports patientcentered care services
• Facilitates medication safety practices by identifying and reporting potential medication errors such as look-alike sound-alike medications
• Prepares and delivers accurate, safe and timely medication
• Places practice priority on the delivery of patientcentered care
• Partners with pharmacist to improve quality and safety of patient care

Schedule and Human Resources Management

Manages schedules and staff requests for PDO and adjusts coverage for sick calls or staff shortages such that department workloads are covered and each area is provided coverage

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Grad or Equiv and 3 years experience
Three years of Contemporary hospital pharmacy experience
PREFERRED:
•Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in a physical science, business or healthcare
•One year of supervisory/leadership experience
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
• Certified Pharmacy Tech
• Registered Pharmacy Technician
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
•Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT) OR Current, valid State Pharmacist Intern license if
applicable to state
•Current certification from Nationally recognized Board/Association
PREFERRED:
•Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Supervises pharmacy technicians, pharmacy technician interns, and pharmacy interns
