Responsibilities
The primary duties and responsibilities of the QA Analyst consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- At the beginning of each shift check the production schedule, walk the floor to become familiar with the products that are running, and consult with the outgoing QA Technician for any items of concern.
- Collect samples from each injection molding machine and secondary process for the required attribute / dimensional / functional testing per the specified frequency. Record the results on the appropriate forms.
- Notify the Shift Supervisor of any non-conformance that are found. Monitor active concerns for prompt resolution and elevate issue up the Management chain if the non-conformance is not being addressed.
- Notify Quality Manager of any quality defects which are not corrected promptly.
- Identify non-conforming product with “Hold” labels and update the hold log.
- Perform in-process attribute verification and document checks and record results.
- Perform first shot verification and document the results using the appropriate forms.
- Notify the Quality Manager immediately of any Quality Department equipment deficiencies.
- At the end of the shift communicate any ongoing concerns / lingering issues to incoming QA Technician.
- All other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Previous work history in manufacturing and/or quality assurance environment
- Must be able to frequently lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions
- Standing for long periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operator and pallet jack safety.
- Excellent mathematics, computer, problem-solving, communication and organizational skills, and be detail-oriented.
- Skilled in the use of measuring devices, such as height gages and calipers.
