How This Role Impacts Live Oak And Its People
As a part of the Post Closing Department, you will help the bank meet and exceed audit expectations for loan documentation and accuracy. The role is essential to maintaining the bank’s safety and soundness. The document intake and loan review process are critical steps of protecting the bank against loan losses which in turn impacts the bank’s profitability.
What You’ll Do At Live Oak
- Work to clear exceptions related to post-close trailing documentation or items related to missing or incorrect loan documents.
- Partner with internal teammates to come to resolutions for exceptions.
- Communicate with legal counsel to obtain or correct loan documentation and related post-close searches.
- Be held accountable for the reduction of overall exceptions and maintaining bank audit standards.
- Assist with Mail and Inbox duties as needed.
How You’ll Do It
- Follow regulatory requirements including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti- Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and OFAC to assist in the identification, detection and determent of money laundering or other unlawful activities.
- Function as a team and realize all members of the team are vital to its success.
- Maintain technical knowledge and skills through training as needed.
- Gain a thorough understanding and stay current with products and services offered by the Bank.
- Perform other duties as required, willing to cross-train.
Required And Preferred Experience
- Customer service experience and/or a job that required teamwork required
- Bank operations experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge of commercial loan documentation is preferred
- Loan closing/processing and/or real estate paralegal experience is preferred
- Familiarity with SBA lending procedures is strongly preferred

The base pay range for this position is $19.23 - $31.25 per hour. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
