The Sr. Project Manager drives the work associated with the assigned project area.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide project management vision and oversight for an assigned project area
- Hold vendors and State resources accountable on delivery commitments
- Oversees and maintains the cross-vendor and State activities related to testing
- Recommends strategies for optimizing or enhancing business operations related to the assigned project area
- Provide weekly status reports to the Executive Project Manager which includes any issues or risks that have been identified related to the assigned project area
- Works with Project Manager & Project Scheduler to monitor project timelines
- Initiates remediation reminders and follows-up if timeline slips
- Documents and distributes meeting minutes according to an established timeframe (i.e., within 2 business days)

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as large system PM with technical background
- 4+ years Medicaid experience
- 3+ years of large systems implementation experience
- Solid technical experience in mainframe and cloud platforms
- Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software
- Proven ability to work both independently and with a team including multiple vendors
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed by the client
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years with testing management experience
- 5+ years with implementation planning experience
- 5+ years with training management experience
- 3+ years third-party liability experience
- 3+ years of claims processing

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
