How This Role Impacts Live Oak And Its People
People Business Partners (PBPs) are responsible for aligning business objectives with people solutions in the organizations they support. Your work will directly impact employee satisfaction, retention, and overall organizational effectiveness. By facilitating key HR processes and acting as a liaison between various teams, you will help create a cohesive and supportive work environment.
What You’ll Do At Live Oak
- Employee Lifecycle Management:
- Launch and track performance review engagement.
- Recommend strategies to enhance engagement and employee development.
- Deliver insight on team restructures, workforce planning and succession planning with guidance and support from senior members of the PBP team.
- Execute company-wide talent programs, including Performance Cycles and Annual Compensation Reviews with support from PBP team.
- Provide tactical support for the broader PBP team.
- Schedule, facilitate, and analyze exit interviews to provide actionable insights.
- Prepare and manage termination process and documents efficiently.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Manage the People Resources email account and internal communications.
- Act as a liaison between Learning and Development, Recruiting, People Operations teams.
- Provide backup support for the People Operations Analyst.
- Support People Business Partner(s) with their portfolio of internal customers as needed
- Serve as a trusted resource for Live Oakers.
- HR Systems and Processes:
- Revamp and maintain the page(s) associated with key topic areas under the People Partnership team’s oversight in Treehouse, Live Oak’s company intranet.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify needed job descriptions and role responsibilities.
- Create, Review and submit job descriptions to the People Operations team for pricing.
- Ensure Workday, Live Oak’s HRIS, is maintained, complete and accurate.
- Employee Relations and Development:
- May engage with senior members of PBP team on employee relations issues to help establish context, create a plan, and keep managers apprised of the status.
- Identify training needs and assist in developing programs in partnership with Learning and Development.
- Work with the Data Analyst to identify and analyze HR metrics.
How You’ll Do It
- Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to ensure alignment of HR practices with business goals.
- Communication: Maintain clear and open communication channels with employees and management.
- Analysis: Use data and metrics to inform HR strategies and decisions.
- Support: Provide hands-on support and strategic input on people-related issues.
Required And Preferred Experience
Required:
- 2+ years of relevant working experience with a demonstrated expertise and work autonomy
- Demonstrate discretion and sound judgment while working with sensitive and confidential materials.
- Comfortable using technology and experience using HRIS system(s)
- Effective verbal and written communications.
- Passion for results; able to deliver full-cycle projects (start to finish) in a timely manner.
- A team player who acts with a sense of urgency and adapts to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to solve problems of basic complexity; resourceful and takes initiative to seek internal and external resources and support when problem-solving.
- Very strong EQ, with fine-tuned instincts and problem-solving skills.
Preferred:
- 1+ year of progressive people experience in recruiting, employee relations, people operations, compensation/benefits, and/or organizational development.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience working within Workday (HRIS system of record)

The base pay range for this position is $55,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year. Compensation may also include annual bonuses and long-term incentives, subject to various metrics and company policy. A candidate’s salary is determined by several factors including travel, relevant work experience or skills and expertise.
