Description:
The HR Administrator will work with the VP or Director of Human Resources to provide support to employees in the areas of benefits, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, immigration, and other HR functions as needed to meet department goals.
Essential Functions:
- Conducts new hire orientation and handles the on-boarding process.
- Designs and coordinates meetings with a focus on facilitating community-building and networking opportunities.
- Assists the generalists/recruiters with job postings, schedules interviews and reference checking.
- Maintains an efficient and secure scanned filing system for employee personnel information.
- Completes employee data change forms for generalist to approve; tracks and ensures termination process flow (term paperwork, benefits Q&A, etc.).
- Responds to employee inquires regarding company policies and processes. Escalates issues as needed.
- Maintains bulletin boards, ensures information displayed is neat and legible, and ensures employment law posters are up to date.
- Assists with coordination of company events and community outreach.
- Performs E-Verify - I-9 verification as well as maintain I-9s up-to-date.
- Coordinates with HR generalists to ensure workers' compensation injury reports are completed and incidents are reviewed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assists with other small projects and audits as needed.
- Prepares job letters.
- Coordinates monthly random drug testing selections.
- Keeps up to date on state and federal employment laws.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) HR, Labor Relations or related field. - Required
Experience:
- 2 years or more in HR and Clerical/administrative role
Skills:
- Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office. - Advanced
- Accuracy, organizational skills and attention to detail are critical. - Intermediate
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks while insuring all client groups receive timely attention; strong time management skills. - Intermediate
- Strong interpersonal skills with a pleasant, personable, professional demeanor and a service mindset. - Advanced
