The Instructional Designer will support functional managers in the creation of training materials and tools that develop skills, knowledge, and expertise in their organizations. The ID is responsible for the development and delivery of specific product and application training programs that change behavior and produce results within the Patient Solutions & Services organization.
- Performs a wide variety of professional tasks, which demand a high level of creativity and imagination, as well as a thorough knowledge of the applicable customer needs and expectations
- Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
- Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience's training needs
- State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
- Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product
- Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
- Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc)
- Decide on the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop assessment instruments
- Provides guidance, direction, and leadership for colleagues, as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management, which include but are not limited to, Learning Management System administration
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite; Content Creator such as Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Previous experience managing content within an LMS preferred
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
- Ability to develop cross-business connections and build collaborative relationships
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities
- An aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
