Overview
The primary focus of the Specialty Clinical Business Analyst is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Specialty Clinical Business Analyst is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of specialty pharmacy clinical programs.

Responsibilities
- Generating and publishing quality analytics, including regular (weekly/monthly) reports, ad-hoc requests, and KPIs used to improve clinical operations.
- Ensuring accurate and timely audits for specialty product billing.
- Working with finance teams to review and resolve payment discrepancies
- Review specialty enterprise data to identify and report on cost savings opportunities
- Supporting reporting for accreditation and client business reviews (QBR).
- Assisting in requests for information (RFI) and proposals (RFP) for the specialty organization.
- Using industry benchmarks and advanced tools to present data through charts, graphs, pivot tables, and other visual formats.
- Participating in initiatives aimed at improving processes and identifying opportunities using data resources.
- Analyzing data to derive insights and support business decisions.
- Partner with specialty leadership to identify areas of opportunity using available data resources
- Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department
- Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program
- Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists
Qualifications
Experience:
- 2+ year’s analytics experience within the healthcare industry (i.e. Specialty Pharmacy, Pharmacy Benefit Management, Managed Care, and/or Health Plans)
- 2+ years of business analysis, data analysis and/or health care planning background preferred
- 2+ years of working with pharmacy data preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Pharmacy technician certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for delivering technical specifications and professional documentation.
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management for managing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking to understand and improve business processes.
- Proven problem-solving skills in analyzing and automating complex business processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, data models, queries) is preferred.
- Experienced in creating detailed reports and delivering professional presentations.
- Team-oriented with experience contributing to high-performing teams, while also capable of working independently and self-learning when required.
