How will you make an impact?
Our interns are matched to projects based on their abilities and current business needs. All projects will have significant strategic and/or operating importance to the business to which they are assigned.
Outstanding opportunity to learn the synthetic biology business and provide practical insights that will influence strategic decisions! As a Product Manager Intern II, you will have the outstanding chance to work on R&D innovations that are combined and made into DNA and protein expression services.
How will you get here?
- Undergraduate student completing a Biological Sciences, marketing or related degree between December 2025 and June 2026.
- 0 years of work experience required; previous related internships preferred.
- Consistent track record of results demonstrating integrity, innovation, involvement, and intensity.
- Energized through championing change, driven in getting results, and savvy in navigating ambiguity.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Proficiency in or quick learner of Microsoft 365.
- College-level understanding of Molecular Biology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Map our current competitive landscape and brand positioning in the market by collecting data and crafting Adobe Analytics dashboards.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to review findings and brainstorm solutions.
- Give oral presentations on recommendations to the steering committee.
- Generate ideas and analytics to support the top business initiatives.
Typical Day:
- Start with a check-in meeting with a supporting product manager.
- Participate in working sessions with the team to discuss the data needed for developing improvements.
- Leverage Adobe Analytics, Power BI, and other data sources to harness, clean, and analyze data.
- Spend a few hours independently working on data analysis to prepare for discussions or upgrading dashboards.
- Collaborate with colleagues in finance, data science, marketing, and operations to understand the customer experience throughout their buying process.
- Participate in cross-functional team calls to learn all aspects of product management and new product development.
- Mentorship and support from senior product managers in developing an outstanding report out.
- Present your work and findings to other colleagues.
Key Result Drivers:
- Deliver insights to the project team about areas of opportunity.
- Develop a customer-centric perspective.
- Master PowerBI and Adobe Analytics to be able to perform queries independently.
Start Date: This internship is set to begin on either May 12th or June 16th, 2025 for a duration of 10-12 weeks – dependent upon student availability per academic calendars.
Compensation & Relocation: Our undergraduate Marketing internships offer an hourly rate between $18.50 - $24.50 dependent upon the location you are supporting (aligned to respective cost-of-living guidelines). Additionally, a relocation stipend is offered in the amount of $5,000 if necessary. Student must be located 50+ miles away from the physical location of the internship to be eligible for the relocation stipend.
To qualify, applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and should not require sponsorship (current or future) for employment visa status. Thermo Fisher does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, and CPT Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience.
Compensation And Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $17.00–$27.50.
