You Will Be Responsible For:
- Orders medications to maintain appropriate
- Monitors and maintains the manufacture backorders
- Completes monthly financial reports utilizing resources from multiple vendors
- Ensures proper storage of medications in Pharmacy Including cold chain custody
- Maintain quarantine area for expired meds to be picked up by reverse distributor
- Organizes and prioritizes work assignments
Job Summary:
The Buyer/Lead Pharmacy Technician, working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performs delegated duties, tasks and functions associated with the provision of pharmacy services within the hospital. In addition, Buyer/Lead Pharmacy Technician, assists in supervising the activities of the pharmacy department’s team of Pharmacy Technicians and assists in the maintenance of the pharmacy’s operations. The Buyer/Lead Pharmacy Technician, performs a wide range of supportive duties to assist the Pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication so that patients receive consistent care.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
• Applicable State Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPT)
• Current certification from Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT), or from the National Healthcare Association (NHA)
• Sterile Compounding Certification, if applicable per state legislation
