Description
JOB SUMMARY
The AP Specialist is responsible for all accounts payable functions for the company, including but not limited to processing invoices, processing payments, reconciling vendor statements, and credit card statements. Generally, support the accounting department and assist in accurate and timely financial statements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Processing incoming accounts payable invoices and for approval
- Processing travel expenses in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Prepare and process weekly vendor payments as needed
- Review and verify Vendor Statements as needed
- Reconciliation of multiple credit card accounts
- Maintain master vendor files for accuracy and W9’s for tax reporting
- Assist audit process as needed
- Act as primary back-up to AP Supervisor during absences
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE & REQUIREMENTS
- In-depth knowledge of accounts payable principles and accounting standards
- Keen attention to detail
- Extensive experience in account reconciliation
- 2 years minimum of relevant work experience
- Bachelors or equivalent work experience

- Regular business hours, Monday – Friday. If additional hours are required, please list here: Occasional overtime may be requested
