This role is with Starship, a division of Optum Financial focused on making benefits better through human-centered design and product innovation. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager with fintech experience to work closely with all teams across Starship (including banking, design, sales and engineering) to build out new features to solve our users’ most important health savings problems. Each product manager leads a cross functional squad with engineers and a designer that owns a product area end-to-end. You’ll partner with design and engineering to prioritize innovation and uphold our standard for beautifully designed products, while balancing technical and business considerations. Our ideal candidate is data-driven, user-focused, and able to work cross-functionally across the entire organization.

Primary Responsibilities
- Gather and translate user problems as inputs for setting the product vision and strategy
- Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, business impact, performance, and post-launch support
- Develop and manage the product roadmap with input from product leadership and other stakeholders
- Own new features from discovery through post-launch analysis and iteration
- Break down large problems and features into small detailed stories and acceptance criteria that can be delivered incrementally
- Lead day-to-day squad meetings, remove blockers, and work with product leadership to ensure your squad is operating at its highest potential
- Be a subject matter expert, disseminate information across the organization, and have strategic influence
- Find, create and report key metrics and data to support your decisions

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a consumer-oriented product management role
- 5+ years of experience defining projects and requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, and coordinating projects across teams
- 5+ years of experience partnering directly with engineers and designers, demonstrating a technical mindset and a passion for details
- 3+ years of experience leading a workstream independently
- 3+ years of experience working in agile and/or kanban methodologies
- 3+ years of experience in both mobile and web design
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in banking or a financial institution
- Understanding of healthcare and insurance
- Experience in working within or for large organizations
- Solid moral compass and commitment to Starship’s core values of inclusion, empowerment, and trust
- Demonstrated sense of empathy for others, both end users and your collaborators

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
