Overview
The Senior Clinical Analytics Consultant designs complex analytics/reporting solutions and analyzes data supporting a variety of business needs ranging from day-to-day operations of Clinical Analytics, Product Development to key Strategic business decisions. The analyst will have direct responsibility for creating automated processes to facilitate report generation and end-user consumption. The analyst will work with various internal and external stakeholders to obtain requirements for analytics needs. The analyst will work independently and/or with leadership to determine the steps needed to create and execute the desired deliverables. The analyst will write/build queries ranging in complexity across multiple systems within multiple business units but will focus primarily on working within the pharmacy and PBM data sets.
The Analytics Consultant also serves as subject matter expert and liaison in the development of analytics, reporting, and clinical outcomes methodology for Maxor Clinical and Analytic products. The position is integral in engagement and training of the client services/account facing teams. The position will be responsible for working with VP of Clinical Analytics and Product Development in the development of requirement and methodology, user acceptance testing (UAT), and overall quality control for all clinical analytics products including the following:
- Ad-hoc SQL Analytics and Clinical Model Development
- Strategic Client Analytics
- Quarterly Clinical Analytics and Reporting
- Forecast and Cost Avoidance & Outcomes reporting
- Trend Management and Cost Driver Deep Dive Analytics
- Development and maintenance of Clinical Risk Algorithms
- Collaboration with other stakeholders and Maxor teams (Underwriting, IT analytics on development and best practices)
- Methodology and requirement development, user acceptance testing
- Ad-hoc Clinical Analytics

This is a remote-based position within the Continental US.

Responsibilities
- Designs Complex Analytics and Reporting solutions
- Analyzes data to support a variety of business needs
- Directly responsible for creating automated processes to facilitate report generation and end-user consumption
- Write queries
- Work with various internal and external stakeholders to obtain requirements for analytics needs
- Work independently and/or with leadership to determine the steps needed to create and execute on the desired deliverables.
- Promptly report any allegations of impropriety to the Compliance Department
- Comply with Maxor’s Ethical Business Conduct policy and Maxor’s Compliance Program
- Remain free from exclusion under the OIG and SAMS Medicare/Medicaid lists
- Complete required training, as assigned, within the established timeframes
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with established policies
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ year’s analytics experience within the healthcare industry (i.e. Pharmacy Benefit Management, Managed Care, and/or Health Plans)
- 3+ years of analytics, analytics model development and maintenance, report development, troubleshooting, and support
- 2+ years of advanced SQL coding/procedure development
- 2+ years of working with pharmacy data preferred
- Knowledge of PL/SQL is desirable
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Recommended areas of concentration - Decision Sciences, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, or similar discipline from an accredited college or university
- Master’s degree in related field of study is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent written communication skills to deliver technical specifications and professional products
- Excellent verbal communication skills to interview & gather requirement from business personnel
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills in order to understand how business works
- Ability to analyze projects and solve complex problems or processes (specifically with business process automation)
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence/Reporting platforms (such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, and/or SSRS)
- Experience creating and supporting web reporting solutions (external facing)
- Experience creating and supporting complex processes within SQL Server Integration Services
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Access is preferred (VBA, ODBC utilization, etc..)
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is preferred (VLOOKUP, data models, queries, etc…)
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
- Experience participating in top performing teams and being a team player while also being able to work independently and self-learn as neededExperience with PBM Medicare D Analytics and Reporting
