As our Appeals and Denials PAS (Physician Advisory Services) Support Specialist, you will help by thoroughly reviewing patient clinical documents, hospital billing documentation and payer denial information to assist with preparation of appropriate response to defend medical necessity and no authorization appeal services offered by the Appeals Department. Every day you will assist in the triage and production needed on accounts within the Appeals Department. To thrive in this role, you must have attention to detail and organization skills.
Here’s what you will experience working as an Appeals and Denials PAS (Physician Advisory Services) Support Specialist:
- Perform detailed review of patient medical records and payer denial information
- Verify and enter all critical documentation received to prepare the appeal.
- Adhere to established workflow based on client and payer protocols
- Timely follow up with clients on outstanding appeals
- Assess appeal requests and denial information
- Navigate Physician Advisory Service portals, payer portals, and combined use of other online tools/software and resources.
Required Skills
- Experience with Revenue-cycle management within the medical field.
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $16.16 - $24.79 per hour . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
