We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Process Specialist with a strong focus on process improvement to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Senior Business Process Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing and optimizing our organization's business processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Your expertise in process improvement methodologies, data analysis, and change management will contribute to driving positive outcomes and promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.
The Senior Business Process Specialist will play a crucial role in analyzing, designing, and optimizing business processes across the organization. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will identify process inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and drive initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. As a subject matter expert, you will leverage your expertise in process mapping, analysis, and improvement methodologies to support the achievement of organizational goals.

Primary Responsibilities - Process Analysis and Evaluation:
- Assess current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement
- Utilize various process improvement techniques, such as value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and process mapping, to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather process-related data, metrics, and feedback for analysis
- Process Improvement Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive process improvement strategies, initiatives, and roadmaps aligned with organizational goals
- Define and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure process performance and track improvements
- Conduct benchmarking and research to identify best practices, industry trends, and innovative process improvement methodologies
- Data Analysis and Insights:
- Collect and analyze process-related data using statistical techniques, process mining tools, and other analytical methods to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management to support decision-making and prioritize improvement efforts
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flowcharts, and control plans
- Process Optimization and Implementation:
- Lead cross-functional teams in redesigning processes to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency
- Implement process improvement initiatives, ensuring effective change management practices, stakeholder engagement, and training programs are in place
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of process changes and improvements, ensuring sustainability and ongoing performance monitoring
- Continuous Improvement Culture:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization by promoting awareness, providing training, and engaging employees in process improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities, encourage employee involvement, and support the implementation of employee-driven improvement ideas
- Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and methodologies in process improvement to continuously enhance your own expertise and contribute to organizational growth

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years as a Business Process Specialist, Business Analyst, or similar role, with a solid focus on process improvement
- Change management experience, including facilitating change, managing resistance, and ensuring successful implementation of process improvements
- Solid understanding of process improvement methodologies, such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Kaizen, or other continuous improvement frameworks
- Expertise in process analysis techniques, including process mapping, value stream mapping, root cause analysis, and statistical process control
- Proficiency in using process mining tools, data analysis software, and statistical tools (e.g., Asana, Lucid Chart, Excel, Tableau) to collect, analyze, and interpret process-related data
- Proven solid project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, set priorities, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
