The Business Development Manager is a full-time senior level role, that requires experience and demonstratable success in driving partnerships and cross-functional teams to drive strategic revenue.
The right candidate will work with various internal and external stakeholders and be comfortable leading technical and business discussions with his/her peers and senior management. S/he will lead structured requirements documentation, business case, discovery and financial/legal negotiations with partners
This role will help in selecting a third-party vendor while staying cognizant of short and long-term implications of such a decision. They will be deeply involved in successful delivery, deployment, and successful launch of the products.

Primary Responsibilities
- Responsible for opportunity assessments including qualitative and quantitative evaluations
- Responsible for driving the requirements and discovery process with partners
- Managing financial and business negotiations with partners
- Managing the ongoing GTM and operations of multiple partnerships
- Responsible for driving cross functional teams comprising of product, engineering, legal, and compliance, etc., to track and ensure a timely delivery of partnership related deliverables
- Responsible for engaging directly with internal and external executives and key stakeholders in which a continual amount of financial, business, technical and client information will be shared in various forms of communication.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnership management, sales, or product management in Healthcare IT
- 3+ years of experience independently negotiating complex partnership distribution and licensing deals
- 2+ years of experience with building business cases and P&Ls
- 1+ years of experience of primary owner of business partner contracting
- Experience with managing the operational aspects of partnerships in a partner framework
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in health care related industry, imaging preferred
- Good understanding of medical imaging IT market, vendor and partner ecosystem
- Experience in working with cross-functional and distributed teams in a global and diverse environment
- Experience in heavy customer-facing presentation and information discovery that supports the successful delivery to clients
- Solid interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills within a multicultural environment
- Advanced problem solving and critical reasoning skills
- Solid internal negotiating experience
- Solid personal energy and ability to energize others
- Ability to make timely decisions

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
