Position Summary: Assists customers at counter, retrieves prescriptions, and processes orders. Assists Pharmacist to fill and dispense prescriptions for customers. Orders and stocks drugs, supplies, and over-the-counter merchandise. Updates patient records. Oversee technicians and cashiers. Assists Pharmacy Manager with various administrative duties. Assists members while providing a high level of member service. Follows proper safety and security procedures and standards.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Assists customer at counter, receives written prescriptions for Pharmacist and retrieves filled prescriptions
- Processes orders
- Answers questions and problems regarding prescriptions, merchandise, and services
- Assists Pharmacist in filling prescriptions and updating patient profiles under direct Pharmacist’s supervision to the extent allowable by State law
- Prepares third-party insurance claims
- Orders, receives, tags, and stocks prescription drugs and supplies
- Cleans Pharmacy. Follows proper department procedures and standards
- Oversees department 93 stocking duties. Creates merchandise signs
- Exercises discretion and confidentiality with all patient information
- Follows proper Pharmacy and general safety and security porcedures and standards
- Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary as directed by management
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers

Education:
- Completed State, National, or NACDS technical training as required by State
Experience:
- Pharmacy or comparable experience
Computer Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Licenses and Certifications:
- National, State or NACDS certification, registration or license as Pharmacy Technician
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Good communication
- Customer service skills
- Basic math skills
