JOB SUMMARY - ONSITE
The Controller will plan and direct the accounting operations of the company. This position will oversee the operations of the Accounting Department. They are responsible for training and coaching the financial team members to perform at their best financially to assist with controlling all expenses and maintaining good operating financials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
- Hire, train and evaluate staff members within the department to ensure a sufficient number of staff members are available to handle the workload.
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance.
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
- Perform quarterly and monthly revenue recognition analyses according to GAAP standards.
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual tax pack.
- Files quarterly/annual filings and payments to all regulatory agencies incl. IRS.
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
- Participates in annual SOC Audit.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP B1 or similar software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
- 5 years or more of related experience required.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Able to travel as needed.
Salary Description
$100,000 - $120,000
