JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resource Coordinator will be responsible for the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding of employees, including scheduling interviews, background checks and drug screens. This position works closely with the Director of HR and other HR team members, as well as hiring managers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Recruits, interviews, tracks, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks, drug screens, and employee eligibility verifications.
- Conducts new hire orientation and supports employee recognition programs.
- Helps maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices in partnership with the HR Director with respect to recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents headcount for open positions: Backfill, Growth, etc. using excel and requisition forms.
- Performs administrative tasks required to administer human resource programs including but not limited to onboarding, benefits, leave, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, occupational health and safety, and other HR initiatives.
- Follows up with candidates and new hires to ensure questions are answered and documents are completed.
- Assist with running reports for the Training Coordinator and following up with Managers regarding overdue training requirements in their departments.
- Uploading training documents to our HRIS.

Requirements

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. Experience with Paylocity is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred, but not required.
- At least 1 year of prior work experience in an office structured role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at our facility.
- The ideal candidate will be able to work additional hours or have availability/flexibility for new hire orientations on other shifts.
Salary Description
$22.50-$24.00
