Construction Superintendent
Reporting to the Cleanroom Project Manager, this role plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of various construction and fabrication tasks. You'll interpret blueprints and specifications, supervise the installation process, and ensure safety protocols are followed. Overseeing and managing production and fabrication employees, you'll guarantee compliance with safety, quality, and quantity standards.
Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, supervise, and manage production employees.
- Oversee the daily workflow and assignments of the cleanroom production/fabrication teams.
- Provide regular guidance and support training of less experienced production operators.
- Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and champion positive changes within the production process.
- Meet weekly production goals as assigned by the Cleanroom Project Manager and Operations team.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Oversee production operations and maintain knowledge of processes and equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues that arise.
- Ensure that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of consumables and construction materials.
- Material Storage and Handling
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, timelines, and scope.
- Plan and organize resources, manpower, and materials necessary for successful project execution.
- Supervise and guide a team of metal fabricators and welders, delegating tasks appropriately and ensuring the team meets quality and productivity standards.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications.
- Monitor and enforce quality control measures throughout the fabrication process.
- Prioritize and enforce safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for the team.
- Identify training needs within the team and provide mentorship to enhance skills and knowledge among fabricators.
- Foster clear and open communication channels between team members and management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, construction reports, and quality control records.
- Excellent attendance is required for this position.
- Ability to use different forms of technology and a variety of hand and power tools common in construction.
- Read and interpret building diagrams/blueprints and be mechanically inclined.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in a cleanroom environment.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively motivate and guide a team.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plans.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality control.
- Knowledge of construction materials and equipment specific to cleanroom construction is a plus.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Travel requirements: Up to 10% of the time.
Education:
- High school diploma required. Associate's degree a plus. PMP or equivalent experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Long periods of standing and walking.
- Lift or carry parts weighing a few ounces to over 100 lbs. (assistance available when lifting items over 50 lbs.)
- Frequently bends, stoops, twists, turns, and works in unusual positions using full body mobility.
Additional requirements: This is a full-time position. Employees are expected to work a general schedule of 8 hours per day, 5 days per week. Employees may be required to work beyond the standard schedule to meet the deliverables and expectations of the role. Employees working from home, like those in an office, should use their time wisely and constructively plan their day since there is limited daily oversight.
