Job Description:
Collaborates with lenders, borrowers and other third parties to perform necessary processing, closing, and servicing requirements for all GGL loans.
Assists in collecting and reviewing SBA mandatory required documents.
Submit loan applications and documentation into the SBA system.
Order and review third party reports, searches, and related documentation as necessary.
Assists with preparation of and adherence to pre-close document checklist.
Assists with coordination of attorney pre-close review when applicable.
Ensures closing items are obtained and in accordance with bank policies and the SBA’s SOP.
Assist underwriting staff with Credit Presentation to ensure SBA eligibility criteria are met.
Manages communication with SBA.
Service SBA loans within parameters set forth in SBA Servicing and Liquidations SOPs.
High level of collaboration with Lending Leadership, Special Assets Department.
Act as resource for processing complex SBA servicing requests.
Communicate with SBA Loan Servicing Centers and Liquidation Center.
Maintains working knowledge of bank policies and procedures, SBA policies and procedures and banking regulatory requirements.
Necessary Skills and Attributes:
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple loan files in a variety of stages
Ability to learn and understand SBA standard operating procedures
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Desire to learn and maintain current knowledge of SBA procedures
Strong analytic and problem-solving ability
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Required Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office
1-2 years’ experience in Government Guaranteed Lending preferred or commensurate experience
Knowledge of SBA SOP
Preferred Qualifications:
2-year Degree or specialized similar training preferred
Work is performed in a professional office environment
