Role Purpose Statement: Bureau Veritas Certification Auditors and Lead Auditors perform audits per Bureau Veritas Certification Management System requirements for the applicable standard and ISO19011. The auditor is responsible to make relevant decisions concerning the audit process and to inform Bureau Veritas Certification as required to resolve issues outside the audit process. The auditor is responsible to collect and analyze sufficient information to provide a recommendation for certification. Lead Auditors have authority for the control and performance of auditing activities including planning and the control of other members of audit teams.
Accountabilities Performance Indicators
Ø Assimilate, understand and operate the Bureau Veritas Certification Management
System in all activities relevant to the post, and to liaise with the Program Manager and
other management regarding changes to the audit design and implementation.
Ø Perform audits in any capacity in conformance with all requirements and applicable
generic and industry specific standards/certifications.
Ø To control as necessary, teams of auditors during the activities covered by Item 2
above.
Ø Recommend whether or not registration should be continued or not based upon
evidence gained during audits.
Ø Travel arrangements for audits
Ø To assist in the training of other auditors and lead auditors during planned audits or
During Other Training Functions.
Ø To participate actively in witness audits by Bureau Veritas Certification or Accreditation
Bodies.
Ø To maintain all Audit credentials.
Ø To undertake any other activities as directed by Bureau Veritas Management.
Ø Ability to co-ordinate and control the assessment Ø Accurate and timely submission of reports, expenses and nonconformity clearance. Ø Ability to communicate with clients, staff and auditors Ø Timely scheduling communication of audit requirements changes and concerns. Ø Co-ordination of team audits Ø Qualifying auditors during the interview process. Ø Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Lotus Notes preferred. Proficient use of modern communication and computer equipment including cell phones and laptop computers; Ø Acquire sufficient audit experience to fulfil relevant competencies for Bureau Veritas Certification's accredited activities

Ø Current Quality or Environmental Lead Auditor credentials or equivalent
Ø Have competent working knowledge of nationally recognized Quality and/or
Environmental Management System auditing standards and procedures.
Ø Ability to travel, including a valid driver’s license/passport and credit card

Proficient use of modern communication and computer equipment including cell phones and laptop computers; remote auditing media (Microsoft TEAMS, WEBEX, etc) Ø Be academically qualified in both a recognized scientific/technological discipline and in quality assurance (for Environmental Auditors, academically qualified in environmental discipline) or Ø Have had a minimum of five years recent and relevant industrial or business experience, of which at least three years have been devoted to the practical application of Quality Assurance or Environmental Management principles
