Overview
The Business Development Analyst will be an integral part of the Business Development team and will be responsible for market research, competitive analysis, and financial analysis as we look to understand market opportunities. Additionally, there will be a customer facing aspect to this role as the position will be responsible for attending trade shows and conferences in new industries.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze market data using both primary and secondary research through modern and traditional methods. (Internet searches, market research reports, surveys, customer trials, etc.)
- Market size, growth rates
- Value chain
- Voice of Customer Analysis
- Competitive products, value propositions and price points
- Market entry strategies and potential competitive responses
- Assist with developing our differentiated value proposition
- Participate in developing and executing customer trials with new products and/or services
- Sampling
- Site visits
- Trial summaries
- Compiling research data and drawing conclusions
- Conducting financial analysis on companies, new Contec products, and competitive products
- Effectively interact with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and R&D teams
- Drawing conclusions on likelihood of project success
- Developing and delivering compelling presentations based on the conclusions of research
- Participate in development meetings and stage gate meetings
- Participates and works within ISO 9001 quality standards guidelines in accordance with Contec’s quality goals.

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred; Master’s a plus in Business or other technical discipline; plus 3-5 years’ experience in market research or a business analyst position; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skilled in Microsoft office-Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
