Pharmaceutical Processor
Reports To: Facility Manager
Classification: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
The Pharmaceutical Waste Returns Processor/ DEA Reporting Coordinator plays a key role in the success of our business. The successful individual will be able to accurately, safely and efficiently perform assigned operations and tasks in a pharmaceutical processing and reporting environment. This individual will interact with customers, employees, members of Senior Management, vendors and regulatory representatives. In every case, this individual must present themselves with the professionalism and discretion appropriate for each interactive situation.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manage controlled substance inventory and monitor all associated activities
•Active customer relations management for pharmaceutical waste
•Maintain training to assure compliance with applicable DEA regulations
•Maintain accurate records of pharmaceutical returns for destruction in all applicable databases
•Support efforts towards an excellent level of customer satisfaction through active follow up and account management
•Meet DEA reporting and compliance requirements for controlled drug Reverse Distribution and/or destruction and transfer of custody
•Fill new and replacement orders for our pharmaceutical programs
•Receive inbound pharmaceutical shipments and check in
•Responsible for inventorying/ tracking pharmaceutical supplies/ completing excel record-keeping documents
• Must be able to lift 50 - 70 pound boxes repeatedly
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
•Certified pharmacy technician preferred but not required
•Pleasant demeanor with other employees, customers, vendors and federal/state regulators
•Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
•Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
•Must be able to lift 50 - 70 pounds and be “Hands-On”
•Familiarity with Schedule I-V controlled and OTC/Rx drugs
•Focused on safety and compliance
•Comfortable utilizing technology and inventory/ reporting databases
•Quickly adapt to changing business demands
•Quickly grasp and adapt to new tasks and protocols
• Must have effective communication skills
•Working knowledge of DEA regulations including DEA Forms 41 & 222 as well as ARCOS reporting
•Proficient in Excel/Word
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
•Able to work an agreed upon standard schedule
•Additional hours as job duties demand
TRAVEL - OTHER
•Travel to domestic Trilogy facilities when necessary (less than 10%)
•Must have a current, valid driver's license
•Able to be insurable under our company's liability insurance policy
