Maxor National Pharmacy Services, LLC is seeking a highly competent, customer service oriented part time pharmacist, for this exciting new opportunity to work within the Whatley Health Services Pharmacy. This rewarding position is for an experienced retail pharmacist with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to build relationships with both providers and patients. Whatley Health Services, Inc. is a private, nonprofit, community health center whose mission is to provide primary health care services to those in need. All of our services are available to children, adults, and seniors who have coverage through private insurance plans, Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare and others, and those who have no insurance coverage. For those with limited income, a sliding fee schedule is available who meet certain household size and income guidelines.
Shift Needed: Saturdays from 8:30am to 2pm
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing all of the duties of a pharmacist, ensuring that prescriptions are dispensed safely and accurately, and for adhering to all applicable State and Federal laws that govern the practice of pharmacy, including dispensing of medications, record keeping, etc. Pharmacist may be required to precept pharmacy students and residents and serve as a drug information resource to patients and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, or Pharm. D., from an approved school of pharmacy and registration by the state board of licensure.
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Alabama
Experience:
- A minimum of one-year experience as a practicing pharmacist required.
- Knowledge of specialty drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Knowledge of polices and regulations pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
- Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.
- Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications.
