What You Get To Do
The Manager Mechanical Installation Resources ensures the efficient and effective allocation of resources for installation projects. This position is responsible for resource hiring, staffing, scheduling and employee development while maintaining a focus on successful project execution. To optimize resource allocation and achieve project objectives the position will work closely with the Installation Operations department as well as other departments and subsidiaries
Essential Functions And Responsibilities - Leadership
- Lead and manage a team of installation professionals
- Set clear performance expectations and provide guidance and support to ensure the team’s success
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Encourage professional development and growth opportunities
- Resource Scheduling
- Collaborate with the scheduling team to understand project schedules
- Review and assess project schedules to identify resource requirements
- Ensure the availability of employees with the necessary experience and skillset for each project
- Allocate installation resources efficiently to meet department and project goals
- Adjust resource allocation as needed based on project changes and priorities
- Resource Management
- Collaboration and oversight in recruitment, hiring and onboarding of installation personnel
- Assess staffing needs based on project requirements and budget constraints
- Implement strategies for efficient and effective resource utilization
- Implement employee development programs to enhance skills and capabilities
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Resource Sharing
- Establish and maintain communication channels with other subsidiaries
- Identify short-term and long-term resource sharing opportunities
- Work proactively to address resource deficits or surpluses
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of resource sharing initiatives
- Quality control
- Set and uphold team standards for project quality and safety
- Establish and enforce quality control processes and standards
- Monitor project quality metrics and address any issues promptly
- Continuously evaluate and improve installation processes to enhance project quality
- Budget management
- Perform budget planning and forecasting
- Manage and ensure compliance of the cost center budget
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective strategies
- Performance metrics
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the departments’ success
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Establish reports and regularly report on performance
What You Have
- 5+ years' experience in on-site management or supervision within a relevant industry
- 3+ years’ experience in a managerial role
- Intermediate understanding of material handling systems and installation processes
- Advanced organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Intermediate to advanced financial acumen and budget management experience
- Effective collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in resource scheduling and employee development
- Intermediate knowledge of industry standards, regulations and industry best practices
- Intermediate leadership and team management skills
- Intermediate knowledge of KNAPP procedures and processes
Working Conditions And Environment
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Passport or ability to obtain passport
- Professional office etiquette is required at all times
- Travel required 20%
- Physical requirements: sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, climbing a ladder, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 25 pounds
