Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Responsible for the administration of all benefit plans. Implements plan changes as well as new benefit programs. Ensures all plans are administered in compliance with regulations. Manages all vendor relationships. Directs the day-to-day work of the benefits team.
Responsibilities: Essential Duties
- Responsible for all employee benefit plans (health, welfare and leave administration) covering 6,000 employees in the US and Canada
- Manages all vendor and consulting relationships.
- Develops, plans and oversees the administration of all health and welfare plans. We are self-insured and must have experience managing these types of plans.
- Oversees administration of all retirement plans (401k, US pension and Puerto Rico Pension plans) with assets of $1B.
- Recommends enhancements and/or new benefit offerings based on market trends.
- Tracks and performs financial analysis of health plan performance.
- Responsible for developing the strategic plan for employee benefits.
- Ensures timely filings of 5500s, ACA reporting, etc.
- Manages Open Enrollment and our focus on preventive care and healthy lifestyles
- Designs, writes and manages our creative campaigns for all benefit related employee communications.
- Ensures compliance of all benefit plans.
- Manage and develop a team of 3 benefit analysts
- Strong organizational skills are a must

Qualifications
Expertise: Qualifications -Education/Experience/Training/Etc
Required:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
- 10 years of Benefits Administration experience required.
- Applicable industry/professional certification preferred.
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Occasional business travel required
- Highly skilled in the use of Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with payroll processes and eligibility file feeds
- Ability to work and interact with all typles of employees in the company

- Manages entry to intermediate level employees of a department or a function with 1 or 2 sections.
- Ensures budgets, schedules, and performance requirements are met.
