The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) is a not-for-profit, ANSI-accredited standards developer with over 1,500 members, including claims processors, government agencies, insurers, and pharmacies. NCPDP provides a forum for creating business solutions, including ANSI-accredited standards for information exchanges in the pharmacy services sector. Its standards, such as the SCRIPT Standard for ePrescribing, are integrated into federal legislation like HIPAA and HITECH. NCPDP also offers data products like dataQ® and HCIdea®, as well as RxReconn® for tracking pharmacy-related legislation.
